Tynemouth Blind Welfare Society is based at Pearey House in Tynemouth. We are an assisted living facility and also host drop-in sessions as well as vision support courses for blind and visually impaired clients. We offer a host of exciting activities on-site, such as Tai Chi, Shiatsu massages, jewellery making, quizzes and the ever popular… Bingo as well as supervised day trips to local interest sites.

We aim to recognise and be responsive to the needs of users by providing high quality and vital services for visually impaired people in North Tyneside. Our objective is to reach all visually impaired people including those who are not registered and make the facilities accessible to all.
